At More Than Apples, we are immensely grateful for the dedication and commitment of our volunteers. Your contributions help us achieve our mission, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome new volunteers into our community.

Here are some key details and expectations for our volunteers:

1. Diverse Opportunities: While some roles involve physical work and exposure to varying conditions, we have a wide range of tasks to match different abilities. Whether you’re up for some physical lifting or prefer a seated and shaded option, there’s a place for you here.

2. Weather Considerations: Volunteers may encounter different weather conditions, including heat and sun. Please ensure you’re prepared with sun protection, like hats, visors, and sunscreen, and dress appropriately for outdoor activities.

3. Safety and Respect: We foster an environment of safety, professionalism, and respect. We have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, shaming, or aggressive behaviors. Let’s treat each other with kindness and consideration.

4. Health Guidelines: If you’ve experienced cold/flu-like symptoms within the past 24 hours, we kindly request that you refrain from volunteering that week to help protect the health of our community.

5. Personal Essentials: Remember to bring a reusable water bottle and wear closed-toe shoes for your comfort and safety. Also, please avoid bringing valuable items to our facility, as More Than Apples cannot be responsible for personal belongings.

6. Liability Waiver: All volunteers are required to sign a waiver of liability before participating in our activities.

7. No Monetary Gain: More Than Apples is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, and no monetary compensation or personal gain is permitted from volunteering with us. Your reward is in serving your community and knowing you’ve made a difference for families in your community!

8. Supplies Return: Don’t forget to return all supplies at the end of your shift to help us keep things running smoothly.

9. Photography Consent: We respect your privacy. No videos or pictures of operations or fellow volunteers may be taken or posted without More Than Apples consent. If you prefer not to be photographed, please let a Core Lead know.

10. Code of Conduct: Our commitment to a welcoming and inclusive environment means that bullying, shaming, or aggressive behaviors will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to refuse help or take other appropriate actions if these guidelines are not followed.
